enamel and writing

My research into enamelling, possibly the route for my final project, led me almost immediately to jewellery from Edinburgh  College of Art, and this piece by Jessica Turrell,  a 'scribble brooch' which relates very closely to my recent work on writing, and my thoughts about using enamelled and etched copper (to remove the spaces between the marks of some 'writing') .

This piece is interesting too in its use of space and pattern, although I'm not too sure about the acid yellow enamel.
